Have fun and learn to sew! Starting to sew (again!) should be an exciting and relaxing experience. In these classes you will make a garment while learning all about new sewing methods, how to read a pattern, how to alter one, how to cut correctly and much more. We’ll introduce you to all the essential notions that will make your new skill even easier. All this under the guidance of knowledgeable instructors, in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Because of the huge demand for these classes, we suggest you register early.

Beginning Quilting
Learn the basics of quilting while making a pretty wall quilt, using the traditional nine-patch configuration to make five easy blocks. This class will cover rotary cutting, strip piecing, stream-lined assembly methods, border, machine quilting, and easy binding. The finished wall quilt is 34” square.

newFabulous Finished Edges
Do you have a quilted project or two that you are waiting to put that perfect finish to but just can’t make up your mind how to do it? Do you have a quilt you want to make and need a special edge technique to bind it off? Be sure to take this class and learn four ways to bind/finish the edge of a quilt or quilted project. Discover the joys of working with bias bindings, the fun of prairie points, and much more. Basic sewing skills are required, and some quilting knowledge is necessary.

newPatchwork Skirt
If you have some old blue jeans at home (everyone does) that you would like to recycle, then this will be a fun class for you to take. Use the top half of the blue jeans and add a patchwork ruffle that can be made from our wonderful selection of Benartex fat quarter fabrics. Patch them together and add your own embellishments. This would make a great project to make for kids. Add embroidery if your machine has that option. Some sewing experience is necessary.

newFun, Fast Fusies
You will love this project! In this class you will be making a wall hanging that you will be so proud of. This is a new technique that you might not have tried before. It will incorporate quilting, an interesting fusing technique, learning how to make binding (Barbara has a great bias-cutting method) and the use of bright color fabrics that will make this wall hanging unique. This is bound to be a very popular class, so sign up soon. Book will be included in class fee. If you already own the book we will issue a store credit.

Bernina Embroidery Club

Donna Strader has been preparing a variety of exciting, all-new projects for our Bernina owners. Distinctive, exclusive, high calibre programs will be beginning in June 2008. Bernina Embroidery Club will be held on the first Thursday of every other month. Both morning and evening meetings will be hands-on and will feature a brand-new technique or project. Participants must have completed all of their mastery classes in order to be eligible to sign up for the Bernina Embroidery Club. Get ready to bring your Bernina, get inspired and have some fun! Fee: $20.00 per individual meeting or save $5.00 and pay only $75.00 for the balance of 4 meetings this year! Special discounts on all notions and accessories on Club days! Magic Vine Table Runner
Make this beautiful table runner using Eleanor Burn’s quilting techniques. Cut out flowers and leaves using a special pattern paper and transfer onto main fabric. You will be creating 5 different flowers and appliquéing them on with built-in decorative stitches. The table runner will then be quilted and all the edges will be scalloped using Eleanor’s Scallops, Vines and Waves Template. You will love this project! Class fee will include book, template paper for flowers and leaves plus a fabric kit for flowers and leaves only.

Designer Collection Jacket
Students choose their favorite designer fabric and learn the basic techniques for creating the jacket. This will include preparing their foundation, adding embellishments, and decorative sewing machine stitches. This jacket uses a purchased sweatshirt for the foundation.

Kids Summer Sewing Camp

Geared toward the inexperienced or novice sewer, each camp will explore sewing basics through a variety of projects. Each student will be given a kit that includes most of the supplies needed to complete his or her project. Iron and ironing board, sewing machine, fabric and other such things will be supplied by Sew Much More. (The July class does have a supply list including fabric requirement) This camp is open to boys and girls, 9 to 12 years of age. Limited to 6 campers in each session. Machines provided.

Mis-matched Medley Serger Jacket
Want to make a project using your serger? Sign up for this serger class and go home with a jacket that you can wear with pride. This is a great jacket for the summer (or air conditioned places) that is a perfect weight. If you have never used decorative threads on your serger, this class will certainly make you an expert. Mix and match fabrics of your choice—you can even use some of our wonderful Benartex fat quarter fabrics. You must have some serger experience to take this class. Perfect Placement Embroidery For Children’s Wear
This is the perfect class for embroidering children’s wear using the Perfect Placement Kit from Eileen Roche and a baby appliqué and redwork design pack from Hatched in Africa. See how easy it is to perfectly position and stitch out any embroidery design with the help of templates and our expert advice for baby blankets, burp cloths, baby bibs and onesies. This is a hands-on class for any embroidery machine owner.

Embroidery Techniques
Do you want to learn some new embroidery techniques? This will be the perfect class for you to sign up for. Barbara will be showing you at least 4-5 different embroidery techniques that are adapted from one of Jeanine Twigg’s books. This will be a hands-on class. Some of the techniques included in this class will be fringed appliqué, cutwork, hooped appliqué and dimensional embroidery. Learn correct hooping techniques as well as the correct stabilizers to use.

Registration & Refund Information.
Registration: Class space is limited. Pre-registration is necessary for all sessions. Register early to avoid disappointment or the possibility of class cancellations due to insufficient enrollment. Fees must be prepaid and are non-refundable. You will receive a complete list of supplies when you register, telling you what to bring for the first session. Cost of supplies not included in fee unless so stated in class description. Students receive a 15% discount on regularly priced merchandise for the duration of the class. To register call us at 452-3166 with relevant credit card information or come by the store in person.

No refund policy: We pay our teachers for a guaranteed number of students. If you register for a spot in the class, the teacher will be paid for that spot. Therefore we have a no refund policy for our classes. If you cancel, we will try to fill your slot with another student. If we are able to do that, we will issue a refund to you or transfer you to another class. If we must cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we will contact those who are registered and give them the choice of a full refund or the substitution of another course.
